He stressed that international events like the AI Summit are opportunities to showcase India’s technological progress, and turning them into political battlegrounds harms the country’s global standing.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, also criticized the protest, calling it 'shameful.' He questioned the direction of Indian politics and urged unity, stating, 'No matter our political differences, we must present a united front to the world. This is not just about political decorum but also about national pride and honor.'
K.T. Rama Rao, Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), termed the protest 'deplorable.' He argued that using global platforms for petty political demonstrations not only reflects poorly on India but also damages its international image. 'While differences of opinion are natural in a democracy,' he said, 'the timing and place of such protests must be carefully considered.'
Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, took a slightly different stance. While he criticized the government for allegedly misleading the public, he also disapproved of the protest. 'Such demonstrations should not embarrass India in front of foreign delegates,' he said, adding that internal political battles should be fought without compromising national dignity.
