Despite his impressive work rate, there are doubts about whether Adamu is a worthwhile signing for Celtic, given his modest goal record in the Bundesliga. Since joining SC Freiburg from RB Salzburg in 2023, he has only scored 3 goals in 34 appearances. While he impressed against VfL Osnabrück in August, his recent form has been inconsistent, as he hasn't started in any of the previous nine Bundesliga games.
